The ImpACT Burgas Workshop was a central milestone in testing the Travel Impact Guide and SUTIL Toolkit. Over five days, the workshop brought together the core SUTIL partners, 15 young participants from across Bulgaria, and several local youth workers. The programme combined an introduction to coliving life, exploratory discussions, group activities, and encounters with local organisations, creating an environment where the Guide could be experienced, questioned, and adapted.

The structure of the workshop followed a gradual path. The first day focused on aligning the consortium and reviewing the methodology. The following days opened space for the young participants: getting to know the coliving environment, learning about the Guide, engaging in focus groups, and visiting a local youth centre. Brainstorming sessions on interactions between nomadic youth and locals, as well as participant-led skillshares, helped translate the Guide’s concepts into practical ideas connected to the local context.

The diversity of the group enriched the entire experience. Participants came from different cities, backgrounds, and professional paths - from students and creatives to expats and NGO founders. Their perspectives revealed both the opportunities and the challenges of explaining sustainable travel, digital nomadism, and community engagement to those who are not yet familiar with these worlds. The workshop highlighted the need to strengthen explanations about coliving culture, clarify the target group, and offer more concrete examples tied to local realities. At the same time, the enthusiasm and curiosity of the participants demonstrated that the Guide fills an important gap, offering young people the awareness and tools to travel more respectfully, consciously, and responsibly.

In this sense, the ImpACT Burgas Workshop acted as both a learning space and a testing ground, confirming the value of the Travel Impact Guide and guiding its final adaptation for future use.
